Home, like water, collects us by and by.

Needless to say, we’re happy to be back home.  Over the course of two weeks, we’ve hiked and biked and replenished our vitamin D.  We’ve written and finished 2 new original songs and learned 2 new traditionals.  We’ve met long time musical heroes and spent hours with dear old friends.  It’s good to recharge the batteries before we head out on the road again.

We opened for the Carolina Chocolate Drops in Daleville, VA.

Our sweet friends, Julie and Joshua, came all the way from Knoxville for the Double Drop Extravaganza.

The CCD put on an excellent show.

We shared a show at one of our favorite venues, Mockingbird, with one of our favorite musicians, Caleb Stine.

Caleb joined us for a few songs as we played to an amazing hometown crowd.

Caleb and Kagey enjoyed their Mother’s Day brunch after their 4 am bedtime that morning.

For the first time in many months, we got to spend time with Trent and Brian of the Steel Wheels on home turf (Humpback Rocks).

Now that’s Sweet as Honey!
