Gearing up for new shows.

Hey Everyone!

We’ve been gearing up for this week and are really excited it’s finally here. On Thursday we’ll be hanging out with our good friend Caleb Stine and playing a house concert at his place in Baltimore (check our Shows page for more details). Caleb is a great writer, singer, and guitar player and if you have not heard his music yet, you need to! Check out his website.

On Friday night we’re opening for Eddie From Ohio at the Birchmere in Alexandria. This is going to be a fantastic night! We are truly honored to be a part of this show. If you’re thinking about coming (and you really should!) make sure to reserve tickets because it is likely to sell out. Visit here for more info.

Wanted to remind everyone that Weds. Feb 3rd we have a show at Ashland Coffee and Tea in Ashland, VA.  AC&T is one of the best listening rooms on the east coast and very well suited for acoustic music. We have been lucky to see a number of shows there and are thrilled to play on AC&T’s stage. We’ll do two sets starting 7pm, no opener for this show.

Also very exciting for our AC&T show – our good friend Barry Lawson will accompany us that evening on mandolin and bass!! We’ve been lucky to get to know and play a lot of music with Barry over the past four years. If you haven’t heard his name, he’s an accomplished mandolin and bass player and a great songwriter who plays with a few Richmond- based bluegrass ensembles that deserve your attention: The Demijohns and Harper & Company. We love Barry’s creativity and his ability to fit into just about any musical situation We’ve enjoyed working with him as a trio and we are really happy for him to join us for some shows in the next few months.

We wanted to take a second to say thanks to everyone for supporting us last year. The support we’ve received from all of you has meant the world to us. There’s no way we could keep playing without you!!

Please drop us a line sometime or come by and see us – we’d love to say howdy!

And now for:

  1. Hope to see you for some of the New England shows.

Toad is one my favorite places in the world (although I may have a conflict 2/18) and Passim is a legendary club (congrats!). I’ll plan to see you again at Studio 99 and/or The Red Door in NH.

I mentioned you to Kathy at Me and Thee (meandthee.org). Keep that place in mind for a future trip.

I put a couple of your shows on our calendar at http://www.nodepression.com/group/bostonmusicscene If you’re on ND, you should join our group.

    Safe travels.

    -Jeff
