Oops! It’s been a little while. Sorry everybody- busy as bees. We’ve had some very awesome shows the last 2 weeks. We joined up with Trent Wagler and the Steel Wheels for their end of tour show in Harrisonburg, Va at Clementine Cafe. Trent and Jay biked the greater Shenandoah Valley for several days to play shows and ended back in their hometown for the last one of the tour. Our sound was a little shaky on stage, but the best part of the evening was playing and singing a few tunes with the guys. They brought out a great crowd and the energy was high.
The next afternoon we played the 1st annual Charlottesville Pie Fest. Pies were auctioned and raffled for a great cause, PACEM, and we played while judges tasted and viewed pies brought in by the community. We are HUGE pie enthusiasts and very grateful to have been apart of things. Thanks to Steve for being so nice and helpful!
Later that evening we attended our very good friend’s art opening in Farmville, Va: You may recall our beautiful album cover which has a relief print of leaves done by the same great artist. The prints were beautiful and very well- received, we had so much fun and can’t wait to see more of this new series!
Morwenna Lasko and Jay Pun are the nicest people and so honed in their skills as musicians. We opened for their CD release @ Live Arts this past Tuesday and had such a good time playing for a lovely audience and then listening to their set. You just don’t come across such genuine and talented people in this “industry.” We are so happy to have been apart of the evening! Their new album, Chioggia Beat, will be available on itunes and cdbaby soon!
The Mountain Stage NewSong Competition is this weekend. We will travel to Charleston, WV and play our songs for a chance to be on the Mountain Stage radio program- wish us luck!
